My Travel Résumé

I love maps.

Don’t get confused. I can NOT read maps. If you throw me in the middle of a forest with a paper map, I am not making it back. (I am pro at google maps though!)

But I love looking at maps.

Why?

Because maps tell my story.

They tell me where I’ve been and show me where I want to go.

I love maps so much that I have a giant map in my dining room and every night before we have dinner, my husband and I pick a country to pray for while we say grace for our meal.

A few years ago a dear friend of mine also gave me one of those scratch off maps where you get to scratch off all of the places that you’ve been to.

So here’s what that looks like for me

I keep a full list where I write the name of the country and the first time I set foot in that country:

1. Colombia (I was born there, so it counts)
2. United States (May 2005)
3. ‎Canada (August 2008)
4. ‎Kenya (August 2008)
5. ‎Tanzania (August 2008)
6. ‎Brazil (June 2014)
7. ‎Argentina (December 2014)
8. ‎Uruguay (December 2014)
9. ‎Israel (July 2015)
10. ‎Jordan (July 2015)
11. ‎Mexico (December 2015)
12. ‎France (April 2016)
13. ‎Senegal (April 2016)
14. ‎Philippines (February 2017)
15. ‎Spain (May 2018)
16. ‎The Netherlands (May 2018)
17. ‎The UK (June 2018)
18. Morocco (August 2018)
19. ‎Ghana (August 2018)
20. Costa Rica (August 2019)
21. Italy (June 2021)
22. San Marino (July 2021)
23. South Africa (August 2021)

I’ve gone back to a few of these countries a few times, and I want to keep going back! There’s just so much to see!

I am 27 now, but I have a dream to make it to 30 countries before I’m 30. What do you think? Can I do it?!
